Finally it sets in...

My surgery for a TVH was scheduled for January 2nd, however today I get a call stating that the Dr needs to change my date to December 31st. I know it's just a 2 day difference but something about it being January soothed me more than this new date. It's like I had more time if that makes any sense. I'm scared although this is not my first surgery, fact is I've been undergoing a knife at least an average if every 3 years of my life. Why is this one freaking me out. I'm trying not to cry but I'm really overwhelmed. My husband won't be able to change his time off even by those two days. Ugggghhhhh! Could someone please knock on my door with chocolate covered strawberries and a hug?
