Any Swelly Belly suggestions?

I return to work half days next week for two weeks, and also meeting with a trainer at the gym to start exercising again. I've been using a heating pad to help with the Swelly Belly after activity.

Does anyone have any other suggestions that has helped? or is it just a neccesary evil?

Even though I have lost about 10 lbs, today was first day I tried to put on normal pants (jeans of all things) and sooo uncomfortable and pressure... UGH.

Never thought I would get tired of wearing loungwear clothes...

Ice packs have helped me - haven't tried the heating pad yet.

I tried wearing larger pants to work with elastic side seams only. Ugh! Way too uncomfortable. I've had to go entirely with all elastic waistband pants. Some ladies here have gone with maternity pants (the kind that fit under the belly, not over).

You can find some pretty nice looking "stretch pants" with everything it seems containing spandex now. My black stretch pants with a top that doesn't tuck in (like a nice polo) and a jacket, look pretty professional (if I do say so myself!). I've found that I can wear my normal pants to work, but in the afternoon they become really uncomfortable, so I went to the stretch pants! So comfy, I may not ever go back!

I hope you are not jumping right into the ab work, besides setting yourself up for lots of pain, you could tear the tissue inside of your belly. I see you had an incisional hernia, at first they thought I had one but I didn't. My doctor told me not to do any ab work for 6 months at the earliest.. listen to your body and take things slowly.

I spoke to my Mom about this today. My mother had a flat tummy for 70 years ! at that age she had a TAH BSO and now 6 years later has a big belly. She told me after a hysterectomy a woman's belly never goes back. I believe her. I hope she is wrong though
