I had two surgeons as well. My GYN dr to take out my uterus & cervix and a general surgeon to take out my appendix. Like most of the others on the thread, I figured 2 heads are better than one and if something were to go wrong, someone els would be there to help right away! I was glad that my GYN dr. said up front that he had never been comfortable taking out anyone's appendix and preferred to let someone in that specialty do it.

Two surgeons during procedure???

Thanks everyone for the great replies...I really had no idea that two surgeons would be in the room. It does make me feel better to know that there is some one else there. My dr told me that she will work on one side and the second GYN will do the other.
