TAH: Excited for hysterectomy (TAH) & BS on 22/3

Am excited, no really I am! I am looking forward to being me again.

Manic Hyster-nesting has been done today so house is ready. Movies, books & tv series downloaded. Food in freezer and bag half packed.

I have worked with my Urogynae Specialist & Anaesthetist plus on the Women's Unit. So I feel safe and calm.

I know I will have to squish some butterflies but I can't keep existing like I am at 39 (& 5/6).

My story is about to have a new chapter with new illustrations (aka scars) so bring it on

TAH 6 weeks ago. I'd been so miserable bleeding to death and being dangerously anemic, that when my doctor said I needed a hysterectomy, I about kissed him! I used to have to look ahead on my calendar and stress out about everything falling during that time of the month. It was debilitating. Out of town trips, tubing adventures, and even my own wedding! My sister told me I was the happiest person ever to go to surgery. I did start to get very nervous towards the end, mostly because I'm scared of hospitals, but I was excited and relieved to be on my way to free.

I cleaned and organized my entire house like a crazy person, shopped, prepared some easy meals, and made some adjustments in my son's room, so he could totally care for himself (his room is upstairs...no way I was making it up there for two weeks).

You sound super motivated and healthy about the whole thing. You go and kick this surgery's butt! You've got this!

Excellent attitude!!! I'm on the other side and aside from getting behind the pain a bit, I'm actually in better shape than I figured I'd be.

Hey that's great to know thank you.

Mum taught me that what you put out in to the universe creates a void so why have it filled with negativity.
Took me a long long time to agree but now i do 100%.
Mindfulness is also a powerful tool for me too.
