contractions? & Q's

Hello everyone!
Been off this site for a few days and have felt pretty good (TAH Feb 3). I've returned to work (only 4-5 hours/day) and am making out OK.
My question is that I've been having what feels like a contraction where the whole abdomin tightens. This is more uncomfortable than painful - has anyone else experienced this? What is it?
I seem to be walking better now and have gained back 4 lbs (lost a total of 16 right after surgery) and I'm feeling a little stronger.
The other question I have is that last week I was diagnosed with a blader infection and have been on meds. I've been getting a brownish-red discharge and still find that there is pressure when urinating. How long will this last?

You "go" girl.. ha ha.. actually I have the pressure when urinating and also the brown red discharge... Dr. told me these are normal and they could last up to 6 weeks.. I too feel good and am back to a "normal" life.. without the lifting of course.. (TAH 2/5)

Hang in there.. gets better all the time.!
