Swollen belly

Hi I just had a vag hyst on Jan 11 just wondering when the swollen belly goes away. I look like I am pregnant. Not really eating alot either.... whats up with that?

Are you using ice packs on your belly?

I'm not sure if that is the magic bullet or what, but my swelling is minimal. I have ice packs on my belly at all times when I am sitting. Yesterday I took a break from them and noticed that my swelling had increased.

I still get a swelly belly! Mostly at the end of my work day. I can wear my normal jeans to work, and have a hard time buttoning them by the end of the day. It is frusterating, but I know it will get better with time! I wish you well.

I'm thinking it's partly gravity (stuff drifting down during the day) and just my body's telling me to lie down.

The unswelling is gonna take us all a long time, as I've read from our longer-recovered sisters. So we must all be patient, good to ourselves, and remember to keep supporting one another. Onward with de-swelling, dears.

For the 2 of you so recently post-op, fear not -- all's going to improve..... steadily.
