6wks post-op

I had a TVH with rectoceal 6wks ago. I will be going back to work next week. I tire easily and it is painful to sit for long periods of time. Any suggestions for making the transition back to work?
Thanks

Re: 6wks post-op

I am not that far ahead yet, but maybe a soft cushion to sit on. And maybe a footstool. Some pain meds. And if you like to write, then a journal to help you cope. Healthy snacks
good music... Access to this site.

Thank you for the good ideas. How are you feeling Honey111? How many weeks post-op are you?

Re: 6wks post-op

18 days post op today. Felt much better after lying down today. Have had a busy day. Feeling sore now. Came out a bit but have asked my DH to bring me two painkillers. Shooting pains up my vah-jay-jay still!

Saw my neighbor from down the road. Haven't seen her since before my op. She said I look like I lost weight. I told her about my hysterectomy and my swelly belly, and that she just made me feel a whole lot better! Yay!

My MIL has cooked dinner. Its going to be a good night tonight

Re: 6wks post-op

I am just over 5 weeks. I am supposed to go back to work at the end of next week, but am not ready by any means. I will be asking my Dr to extend my leave a few weeks at least till after Christmas.

Re: 6wks post-op

I had my 6wk check up today. I will be going back to work tomorrow. I will be working full time. I guess if it's too much I will have to adjust my hours.
