TAH Ovary Pain Almost 3 Weeks Post Hysterectomy!

My TAH was done on 02/11/2016 leaving only my ovaries. My ovaries hurt---A LOT! How long do they hurt after surgery? They don't hurt all the time and normally it's one or the other (hardly ever at the same time), but the pain is a pretty sharp pain. Yesterday it was my right side; today it's the left side. They seem to hurt more if I'm up on my feet for any length of time walking around. Please tell me this gets better!

Mine too!! Maybe they are waking up from surgery...?

That's what I thought too, Pinkglittergrl! The first few days/week it felt like they were on fire, but now it's more of a pain than burning sensation. I will be so glad to get back to normal!

The pain should ease up at 4th week & 5th week even better. My pain was when sit up/down on my abs hurt & my ovaries hurt. I imagined the pain was from surgery, cutting the tubes away from that area & at the ligaments. Im at 8 weeks now & i dont even have pains like that anymore, so it gets better! Ice pacs or heating pad help. I liked motrin too. (I didnt take pain meds post surgery so I was on 800 mg motrin, then reduced it to 400, then 200). Feel better.
