stupid choice!

Got back from my trip and surgery IS tommorrow. Thought Id post to help keep anyone else from doing what I did. I took a !4 hour trip on Thursday after an appt that I had and then 14 hours back yesterday (got home about 3am). Really felt I needed to do it for various reasons and cant say that I regret it because those things got done but the PAIN was terrible! Stupid, stupid choice! Got some Lortab from the docter though he is of the opinion that fibroids dont cause pain! Took one every three hours(7.5)which is maximum he would okay, and didnt begin to cover. Just made my head fuzzy (hubby drove) but did no more then blur the edges on pain. Never would have believed how rough even our interstate highways are! Anyway, I definatly paid for my choice and am still paying for it today with lots of pain and nothing done but surgery is tommorrow at 11:45 and while nothing more is going to get done today due to pain level at least I guess that I picked good timing 'cause I dont have long to wait! Also I wont jeapordize my recovery by having to make it later. I still think, however, that it was a very STUPID choice.

I'm so sorry that you are in pain, and hope that you'll be able to get some sleep tonight. But please, don't beat yourself up about making the trip. You did what you felt was right at the time, and had no way to know how uncomfortable the trip would turn out to be for you.

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers for a successful and uneventful surgery and recovery. Please be sure to let us know how you are doing when you've been home a while and feel up to sitting at the computer for a little bit.
