If you have migraines that are associated with your monthly cycle, then that suggests they are hormonal. If that's the case, and you're not keeping your ovaries, then there's a pretty good a chance your migraines will stop! If, however, you decide to take HRT, then you're obviously putting hormones back into the equation again ...

I kept my ovaries and my monthly migraines are unchanged. Obviously, though, we're all different and nothing's carved in stone.

Wishing you all the best for your surgery and good luck with the migraines!

can i say good by to the monthly migrain?

Hi

I had severe monthy migraines before my surgery, both uterus and ovaries removed, and I haven't had one of those since. I DO use HRT.

My Dr explained that it is the fluctuation in hormones that causes the migraines, not the hormones themselves.

I hope that your migraines will go away also. Unfortunately, there are no guarantees. If they are caused by hormone fluctuation though, then finding an HRT balance that you can maintain just might do the trick for you too

s and Best Wishes,
Kay
