TVH Spotting 6 months post hysterectomy

I am 6 months today. Total with left side gone. This week been having some cramping, some spotting here and there. What really got me this time was a small blood clot. Calling Dr in morning but kinda freaking out now.

I know it's scary to find spotting this far post op. I spotted bright red at about 5 months and I was really worried. The good news is there can be simple reasons for this that are very easily treated. A common culprit is granulation tissue on the vaginal cuff. This can be treated right there in the doctor's office with silver nitrate. I didn't have this on my vaginal cuff but I did have granulation on my episiotomy as it healed. It smarted when he applied the silver nitrate, and then I was fine.

The reason I was spotting at 5 months was I have a "pucker" in my vaginal cuff and DH was abrading it during sex. My solution: use lubrication.
