pre op visit today (scared)
So today things become exceptionaly real!
My visit went well they did my blood work weighed me asked alot of questions. The only thing i was nervous about was the "recreational drugs" question becasue to be honest Ive smoked maryjane a couple times these past months,it makes the pain go away with out having to take pain killers,i hate the pain killers! And it also helps with my nausia (the pain makes me throw up) But i was very honest with the nurse and then to my suprise she told me more then half of the patients she see's that are having surgery to fix any kind of pain smoke maryjane for the pain and nausia!
But with that aside its really becoming real and im getting nervous and scared,i pray everyday nothing will go wrong and i wont die! i know that sounds absolutly crazy but the whole thought of being knocked out scares me almost to the point of not wanting to do it,but i know thats not realistic becasue i can barely function as it is.
Oh sweet ladys please help me,i need to find a way to calm my nervs!
thankyou!

I agree with Debware, the waiting is the hardest. When you wake up after surgery you're just so relieved it's done and you can start recovering. Hugs and prayers!

Re: pre op visit today (scared)
Ash, I must agree with the other ladies, waiting is the worst part. I was so consumed with fear of the surgery and recovery, I started having panic attacks and anxiety attacks. I had NEVER suffered from those things before. I had to wait 5 months before my surgery and let me tell you, each month I worried even more about my "periods" vs the surgery. Just remember, the anxiety will be over once you wake up from surgery. The first thing I said was...I made it with God's help!! I have since then put all of my faith in God. I was so happy and you will be too. *Hugs* to you and may God bless you and be with you through the surgery and recovery.
