Still spotting post op 25 days with odor

My Dr. doesn't seem worried about the spotting but now it has an odor. The odor is not as bad as after my ablassion but still not normal for me. I feel like a pest to keep calling my Dr. Does anyone else have this issue?

Re: Still spotting post op 25 days with odor

If you are experiencing what one would call a foul odour, please call your doctor asap. An odour is normal but no anything that smells truly bad. Please get back to us with what you find out.

Spotting is OK up to six weeks as Long as it has no foul odor. Might wanna call Your Dr. So he can fix What's Going on right away before it gets worst.

Re: Still spotting post op 25 days with odor

I'm only at Day 16 and have very little spotting, or even staining, but I do have a thin discharge and I think it has a kind of salty smell. I've had yeast infections in the past and I know what they smell like; this is nothing like that. It's not bad; just different. I had a two-week post op checkup yesterday and my doc said the discharge was probably just normal healing, but she took a sample just to check if there's anything going on. Are you having any kind of itching/pain to go with the odor?

Re: Still spotting post op 25 days with odor

Waiting until Tuesday may not be the best thing to do, especially with a foul odor plus itching. If you don't feel like going to the ER tonight, at least call and ask to speak with the doctor on call. If you have an infection starting, it's probably a good idea to take care of it sooner rather than later. Keep us posted.
