Re: Since theres nothing inside anymore...what keeps all the other organ in place???

I've read on this forum that a normal uterus (of which the cervix is part) is about the size of a pear (or some other small fruit lol) and normal ovaries are quite small, so they don't take up much room. My uterus was enlarged because of fibroids and it kind of "bullied" its way around, so when it was removed I'm assuming everything returned to where it belonged.

Hi (((Pmartin)))

Yes, gravity does its thing and everything will settle into a new place. It takes a little time to get used to some of the new sensations, but you'll adjust. That is soon to go back to work. You must be feeling quite well. Just be sure to ease into your activities so your stitches can still do their thing. Best wishes to you!

Re: Since theres nothing inside anymore...what keeps all the other organ in place???

I would think that just like the uterus and ovaries had ligaments holding them in place, that the other organs have something holding them too.

I know I feel like I cant lay on my side because it feels like things are 'pulling'. Also sometimes when I walk I feel as if things are dropping or something. The human body is quite amazing and can adapt to new situations.

Hope this helps

Me too, Silentfilms. I lay on my side and something is pulling! I am glad others can relate because that means it's common. Blessings to all you sisters.
