welcome
Hello...glad you found us!!
Check out the pull-down menus for great info on preparing your "nest" for after surgery...that helped me keep focused on the positive while I waited.
I had a TVH/BSO with spinal and it went very well. No grogginess after I woke up and the waking was pain free since my lower body was still NUMB! Although I had general anesthetic years ago with no problem, I still liked the idea of less meds to recover from. If you do a search on this site for "spinal" you will get lots of information. I also think anesthesia chosen tends to be partly doctor's preference...and since I trust my GYN, whatever she recommended was fine by me. You will be sedated during the surgery anyway so you will sleep through it but no tube down your throat and so forth as with general.
Keep reading, posting and talking everything over with your doctor.
