Before surgery, did you do anything fun, go anywhere?

And cleaning doesn't count.

My surgery is coming up and I know after I'll be stuck for a while, actually I'm home all the time as it is. hmmm
I'm trying to think of something to do or somewhere to go before surgery, tired of being at home so much.

So did you go somewhere fun, or do something fun/different before your surgery?

Before surgery, did you do anything fun, go anywhere?

Trying to figure out what we may do this weekend, my parents are taking the girls camping. It will be a rare weekend alone. Too bad my pain has increased during my last week before my surgery. Maybe we will just get some quality time together.

blondie,
We dont live too far from Branson, MO so my DH & DD, & I are going this weekend. We plan to see a couple of shows and visit a theme park there called Silver Dollar City. DD leaves for college right before my surgery so this is a weekend that no one is working before she leaves. I feel the same way, let me have some fun before I am cooped up in the house recooperating.
DH & I have a standing date night every Friday night, so I am kind of excited to see just what he will plan for our date nights when I can't go out anywhere. Pizza and a movie?

I spent 10 days in Mexico about 2 weeks before surgery. The night before surgery I had a 2 hour massage(I scheduled the last 2 hours before closing and had a great night sleep I was so relaxed). Quality time with hubby is always good. I also got a haircut, pedicure, and just hung out with friends.

I've never had a "real" massage, dh doesn't count. ha

I've heard there's different kinds/types, how to decide?? Does sound relaxing..

Once I find out my surgery date I'm going to get my usual wax & pedicure scheduled for right before the date. I'd rather get it done a little too early than be sitting around recovering and hairy.

The gal that does my services has been telling me she wants to give me a free back facial and I think I just might take her up on it. From what I understand its a massage plus other fun stuff.

I think we'll also hit a movie the week before just to go do something and since that 6 week dry spell will be coming up we'll be sure to make sure that we get some extra in.

Before surgery, did you do anything fun, go anywhere?

I have been hanging with the family. Every weekend we have something going on since I am not bleeding and in pain from the Lupron shot. We have been trying to make up for lost time. We have been going to birthday parties, movies, off roading, walking. I am thrilled I am going to get to attend my sister's pinning from nursing school. I normally would of been to weak to move and out of breath with my face pale and lips turning blue looking forward to another transfusion. It is sooooo cool to be able to rock out to the air guitar with my 12 year old son. So I am living it up now because six weeks will be a long wait to have more fun but watch out when that time comes I will be unstopable.

Strangely enough, I'm quite content being a homebody. And I am totally looking forward to 6 weeks away from work! (I have a love-hate relationship with my job).

But I am sure that I will get tired of laying around home. So, I bought a few extra scrapbook goodies so I can play a little with my scrapbook stuff.

My oldest son is coming over the weekend before my birthday to help me get a few things cleaned up. I plan to take both my boys to the movies that weekend. We'll either see new X-Files movie the new Batman flick. The day before my surgery is my youngest son's 21st birthday. We have decided that we will go see whatever movie we didn't see with his brother.

It's not that exciting, but it will be nice spending time with both of the kids.
