Going tomorrow - I'm a bundle of nerves!

They moved my surgery up from 11-21 to 10-31 (tomorrow). Though I am relieved because it will be over and I should be back to normal sooner, I am also nervous about the whole thing.

My 13yod has been scared, crying and worried I'm going to die. My son is worried and scared. My older 2 girls seem okay, but are generally nervous. I'm just ready to go and be done.

I've just been praying for peace, safety, and renewed health and strength.

Going tomorrow - I'm a bundle of nerves!

Prayers from me for you and your family. I can only imagine how scared they might be from the doctor moving up your surgery. Just think! It'll all be over with tomorrow. Hugs.

Going tomorrow - I'm a bundle of nerves!

All the best for your op. Mine is coming next week so I can feel your tension. I have 2 boys aged 12 and 14 and I'm a single mum and am freaking about something dreadful happening and what will happen to the kids (irrational I know!). Sending you best wishes, happy thoughts and a speedy recovery!

Good luck--I am right behind you

I go for my pre op tomorrow (both at Dr and hospital) and have surgery on Thursday (LAVH-BSO) I am a single mom with a 16 year old--so I certainly understand the stress that causes! She has been really strong becasue that is how I am but I know she is worried. I have an 80 year old mother who is something else!! She still drives and is active in her church so she plans on taking care of me!! I am ready to be onthe other side of this too--I only stay in the castle overnight--23 hour outpatient unless they run into difficulties.

I just know that you'll do great! The saying is true. The witing is the hardest part. By this time tomorrow, you will be on the post-op side and on your road to recovery.

In my opinion, most people going through surgery worry about their families and pets "should something happen". It's normal. Remember that these surgeries are done by experts, you will be in the hands of staff who do these surgeries often and therefore, they are liked well oiled machines.

We look forward to hearing from you post op!

Good Luck to You!

I wish you all the best. Even though I've had 2 laps -- 1 for an ectopic and 1 to have my right ovary removed (not related to each other and at 2 different times), I, too, am a nervous wreck for some reason. Hey, Aussie-Angel, we're scheduled for the same day! I'll be sending you good luck vibes. I'm also a single mom with 1 child still living at home and 1 living on his own. I worry about something going wrong, or what I'm going to do by myself while daughter is at school during the day. I just feel helpless at times. I have a 4cm complex cyst with septations and bleeding within the cyst--it's both solid and fluid. Doc thinks the best thing to do is a TAH because of family history of BC (mom died 4 years ago), and I've also had precancerous breast cells removed. Good luck to all of you, and it feels so good to be able to come here and not feel so alone. Thank you! We'll be thinking of you SSLEDOUX!
