LAVH 4 weeks post hysterectomy: Gastroenteritis

I had my surgery June 6th. Everything went well. I had 2 surgeons only because i have a severe Kidney disease and they were worried about keeping me under too long..Things went really well for about 9 days and then out of the blue i got this burning ball of fire in my stomach and started vomiting and diarrhea at the same time. I went into the ER and they admitted because my wbc and kidney labs were high they me gave me tons of fluids and i went home 2 days later. Was feeling pretty good again and 9 days later it hit me again..I'm getting SO discouraged. The surgery was a breeze and i had no pain after 3 days. Never took a pain medication after 2 days except for Tylenol and only 1 day for that..I'm afraid to eat for fear it will hit me again...Not sure what to do...

I am so sorry to hear about what is going on!!

Have you journaled the things you have been eating up until this point to see if there is a pattern...? Perhaps spices or seasonings or if it is simply the foods you are consuming?

I know at times I have had to resort to a much blander diet a couple of times after surgery just to keep things calm within.

I hope that you feel better soon and they figure something out!
