5 Wks post-op niggles!

HI Ladies,

I'm 5 wks Post-op today! I had a course of anti-biotics last week which eased a water infection & maybe anything else that was going on in my still ,swollen abdomen. I was glad to find that the vile smelling discharge has gone, returning to normal. I ditched the Rubber ring a couple of weeks ago! much to the amusement of my friends & children. I think a support panty is inevatable I do have this ache in my left side that i can't quite figure out. & I have this shooting pain, occasionally in my rectum! any thoughts on this ladies? The Doctor said i can't return to work until at least April. I only work Pt/time. I am wondering how i am going to stand for a 6 hr shift. .. ok thats me done. Thanks .. Pamela

I am 5 weeks post-op tomorrow. Sounds like you are doing well. Hey, I had a weird shooting pain today (only one) that seemed to zip down my vagina. What IS that about?

I was five weeks post on Monday. Wahoo! I got permission to work from home last week and it is going well. It feels so good to be back in the fold again. I am also started walking 2 miles, slowly with my dog weather permitting. The doctor lifted the restrictions and said to listen to my body. It is hard ot know whether you are overdoing it for I don't feel it will the next day. I have been having trouble sleeping. I didn't take a nap yesterday, went to bed at 9pm and slept well thourgh the night. I quess I am getting better! Thank goodness for I am sooo done with being out of it. No heavy lifting! This message board has been a blessing!
