Or should I say postponed

Pre-op'd yesterday and sugar was high and blood pressure was a little elevated. I have to now get my sugar under control before they will even think about surgery. Very disappointed! I know it is for the best, but emotionally I have had a better couple of days! Now I am back to square 1 waiting and wondering when they will actually do something for me! 18 day long periods or when not long, they are coming every 2 weeks. I honestly think I have felt bad for so long it is starting to feel "normal". Tired, stressed and have just had enough. Sorry.....but had a vent a little. Going to work hard to get the sugar back in the check, but not sure how long they will be make me wait if I can get my numbers right to get this done!~

Re: Or should I say postponed

Sorry to hear your surgery is postponed. I'm still a week out and already the build up has been enourmous. It must feel terrible at this late stage to be told it won't be happening. Here's hoping you get your sugar levels right really soon and that they can fit you in for surgery very shortly afterwards.

The light is still there at the end of the tunnel, it's just a little further away now. Hang in there. You will get through this! *hugz*

Re: Or should I say postponed

I am sorry your surgery was postponed. It is for the best as you will heal better if your blood sugar levels improve.

Venting is understandable, and helpful. Vent away as often as you need! We are here for you.

I have read several posts from women who have had their surgery cancelled. Their surgeries were rescheduled once the particular situation cleared. I think everything happens for a reason.

Sending positive, healing thoughts your way.
