Hysterectomy: December 15th, 2006

Ovaries: Undecided

5 wks post op bleeding

I had a laprascopic supra-cervical hysterectomy mid-Dec.(only removed uterus, kept cervix) I am now bleeding like I am on my period, just not as heavy. Does anyone know anything about this? I thought I heard somewhere about mini-periods. I don't want to have any periods that is one of the reasons I had the surgery.

Hi Christine,
If you kept your cervix it is still possible to have mini periods. I think you should call your doctor and let him/her know about the bleeding.
