Nervous

I start work tomorrow. I'm officially 6 weeks out tomorrow, as well. I'm pretty nervous. I'm only allowed to cashier, no lifting or cleaning.

So, why am I nervous? My bosses aren't the best about following doctors orders. I can't lift anything yet because my vaginal cuff area isn't healing correctly. I've already got my bite me look ready if they attempt to make me do more than allowed, but well it may not be enough. I just don't want to be back in the hospital cause I had to do something not allowed!

Re: Nervous

I hope it goes well for you, Queenie. If you get pressured to do stuff that's not allowed yet, would your dr. write a note to your bosses stating your medical restrictions? That should give you some leverage.

Let us know how things go.

Re: Nervous

He's already sent one. I had one before and they expected me to do lifting. So, I guess we'll see.

Good luck tomorrow. I laughed when I read the "bite me look". Hope all goes very well for you.

Re: Nervous

Queenie I hope your bosses will not ask you to do anything but cashiering, if the doctor has sent a letter telling them your restrictions. Feel free to gently remind them about that & if they make you do anything you're doc has said not too & something happens to your health & safety they can & are legally liable

Wishing you a good day at work & all the best xoxo

Re: Nervous

So, they didn't listen. I've been putting up shirts and stuff all day. I'm in so much pain. My who who hurts!

Re: Nervous

(((Queenie))), I'm sorry they didn't listen. Obviously they're not thinking about worker's comp having to pay if you injure yourself. Worse, though, they just don't care about you.

I hope you're able to be off your feet for the evening and relaxing.

Re: Nervous

So sorry to hear you are feeling bad. It really does suck when our bosses don't listen, especially when we've done so well and listened like we should. Hope you're feeling better soon...take care of yourself!!

Re: Nervous

So sorry to hear that, thinking of you and take care tonight. What would they do if when they ask you to do something your doctor doesn't allow, and you say no? That just stinks they don't care. Hugs!!!
