Silicone spray for sticky windows

This is something I never see listed when sisters are giving advice for pre-oppers, but it's something that was important for me.

I live alone in an older building, and the windows can be kind of sticky. I wanted to be able to open and close them on my own during my recovery period. My brother-in-law recommended silicone spray as a lubricant, and boy, was he right!

I found a can at Home Depot for less than $10. I did all the windows about a week in advance of surgery, and then the night before I did them again, just in case. The ease with which the windows moved after being sprayed was amazing! I had no trouble at all opening and closing them during my recovery period - and I had a TAH, with a 7" long vertical incision down my belly.
