3 weeks post op

I get tired more easily , but I have been back to work since day 10. I am expected by co-workers to lift things that I shouldn't even after the boss lady has gotten on to them and has warned me many times not to. I am sore still. I had the davinci he put these tucks with stitches in them to hold the punctures closed and those pull and hurt and make my stomach burn if I over do. I am sad or depressed a lot. Had a suicidal thought or 3 cross my mind. really sad that my sex life is over and I am only 44. They say oh you have a clitoris and a G spot both things my husband has NOT been able to find in our 18 yr. marriage even if I gave him a picture map and a magnifying glass. I cry ALOT. Peeves me off that I still have discharge and I have to wear a pad. I hate pads they move all over the place and wad up and chaff. I hate my doctor and I regret the decision but it was this or bleed to death.

Re: 3 weeks post op

You need some hugs!!
Things will get better
Don't lift the heavy stuff at work, the boss is on your side!
Your hormones are throwing you around and will settle out soon
Good chance you can have a sex life similar to what you had before, it is too early for you to call a verdict on that
In the meantime maybe you do need to get that magnifying glass and map out
Its time he learned
I hope he does so he can help you w that part of things in a way that will start off being nice for you
Im hoping things will start getting better for you: I think they will
I can understand a lot of your frustrations!

Re: 3 weeks post op

I am sorry you are having a tough time right now.
Definitely don't lift anything.
The discharge should start lessening soon and then once your healed, no discharge at all....so theres that to look forward to
And with the sex....well its in your husband to find new ways to enjoy your body.....make it fun....get sex books and have some fun nights doing new things.....sex should be fun.....get some toys and just go crazy.....its all good....you deserve fun and exciting sex life, you have earned it.....so get some neew lingerie when you get the 'ok' and just set out a weekend and explore each others bodies like you are teenagers....
Trust me, you will have fun.....
Right now though focus on the last bit of initial healing....
Take care

3 weeks is still really early. I felt worse at 4 weeks than I did at 3 weeks and that's after resting,I'm 5 weeks now. I'm not ready to go back to work so I feel for you because I think that working so soon won't be helping you. Please don't lose hope, it takes 6 weeks for the initial healing but my doctor told me it can be 6 months or more before you feel normal again. 3 weeks is too early to be worrying about sex so try to stop worrying about that. Try not to rush things or worry too much although it's easier said than done when you've had to go back to work so early. Don't give up xx
