Home from Hospital...

and not feeling the greatest, but hanging in there. The pain is worse than I expected- especially the lower back pain- arrgh.

I had a TVH...uterus and cervix removed. Pathology report came back yesterday with "significant adenomyosis", but absolutely no cancer or precancerous indications. Praise God for that!!

I have been laying down alot, taking my Vicodin and hope to feel better soon. Right now, I am walking like Tim Conway on Carol Burnet show and am so tired of being down already!!!

Anyone know when the initial brunt of the pain starts to lessen?
The back pain is awful!

Thank you for all your kind words and encouragement through all of this. I appreciate this site more than you all will ever know.

The first wk. is the hardest. by next wk. you'll start to feel a little better. Taking little walks around the house is good it will help you to feel better faster. Don't over do it though. Listen to your body and rest when you need too. Don't forget to drink lots of water and take it easy on the soda, it helps with the swelly belly.I'm 5 wks. post op and I feel great. believe me it gets a little better each day.

Pain...aaargh

Hi, Good luck to you. I am 2 and 1/2 weeks post op and really didn't start feeling like I could do more than lay in the recliner until about 3 days ago. But it will get better, just hang in there. Short walks in the house helps relieve some discomfort that you get from just being in the bed or chair. Hang in there! Melenie
