Just want to introduce myself

Hello everyone, my name is Dana and Im 37 and I am scheduled for a SuperCervical Hysterectomy 08/01/03 for a 7cm fibroid. I have been reading your posts for several days, and I must say you have already helped me trememdously! At first I was scared, did the whole crying thing, but now, Im almost excited and ready to get it over. For the past 3 or 4 years I have been suffering from extreamly heavy periods lasting over 7 days, very bad back pain and painful sex. Now, I feel a big weight has been lifted off of me. I know that if everything goes as planed, in a couple of months I will fee like a new woman! I have lots and lots of questions, but I will save them for another post. I am just so glad to find this site and to find so many other woman to share my worries and happiness with. Thank you for reading!

I too am new to this wonderful place (2 days)!!! Ive been going through the whole thing of being scared and having reserves, but after reading everyone's stories and the positive feedback everyone gave to me, its starting to get a little easier.

My surgery is scheduled for the end of August and that's too long for us to sit around thinking about things, some people recommended anxiety med. to help along with meeting and talking to all of the wonderful women here.

HI!!! I am new also just signed up yesterday. I am headed for my surgery sometime in September if I can hold up. I have IBS and my GY wants me to get that as under control as possible before we tackle the GY problems. I do know I may lose one ovary (RT) due to cysts. I am very scared but also excited to be done with the pain. I hope your surgery goes well and you become pain free.
