LADIES HELP..i'm sitting here cry with my yellow jello..(btw jello hard to find in a color thats not red/orange/purple.)I'm scared almost to the point of canceling.I Tried to get someone to come entertain me but no one catching the point that I NEED help.I NEED someone to seem like they care.Is that too much to ask....Seriously...well now i hear my little man knocking on the wall wanting "ummy" so let me go get him and we might go out somewhere.I got the kids a movie for tonight and they got popcorn and cool theater snack boxes.Normally i'm not emotional on this stuff but now Im crashing.I Dont feel strong about this.I feel something major going to happen.Which is totally odd for me.Last night I dreamed I died...so yeah thanks for the lovely fear huh...Sorry to ramble ladies but im scared @#$%less.

kitkat, I was a nervous wreck as well. Take big deep breaths, do something with the kids and just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You will be fine and once it is over, you will be so happy!! the other side is much easier than you think.

You are gonna be just fine. Tomorrow night, surgery will be all over, it will all be just a memory, then you can post on the post op side. Walk in the castle as soon as they let you. In the mean time, when I did a colonoscopy, I found that lemon water ice was a nice change from the yellow jello. Good Luck, see you on the other side.

(((Hugs ))) the nerves do take over don't they? well .. let me tell you before my surgery the anesthesiologist asked if i was nervous and i told him i was, he gave me something in my IV to relax me.. i don't remember anything from that point on. even parts of being in the hospital are foggy..
Remember to ask for help for everyone around you, sleep as much as you can.. Im sure you are like most of us here and are normally the caregiver. its nice to be the one pampered for a while!!
Watching comedies helped to calm my nerves
you are in of our prayers!

No one could be any more scared than I was.

My sister-in-law told me something that was funny and made me feel a little better before the surgery but now after, I absolutely agree with her. She said that next time she has to have a hysterectomy she won't be nearly as nervous. LOL

After the surgery, you will be sooo glad that you did it.

Other things that helped...
-I reminded myself of all of the improvements that it would make to my life. Ex. no more cramps, no more stained sheets & underwear, I could go on and on.
-I reminded myself that they do this surgery all of the time and it is OK.

Good Luck- You will do fine!

I hate to tell you this kitkat, but you could have had the much yummier RED jello. They only care about the color if you're having a colonoscopy, no red or purple liquids because they can look like blood. So tomorrow that's what I'll be eating . . . but I'm not sure the bowel prep will work, because I'm going to be scared ********!

Good luck today and tomorrow, we'll both be recovering by the weekend!
