Awww Kitkat,

I have my TAH scheduled for tomorrow also. I have filled my day with a lot of things to do to keep my mind busy enough not to think too much.

There are still some last minute things to attend to. I went this morning to pay my rent because I figured I may not feel much like doing it when I am out of the hospital. I may...but in the event I don't... it is handled.

Still have laundry to do, a table round to cut, box to ship off with finished work in it, garbage to take out, catbox to scoop, store to get to so I don't have to lug heavy cat litter after surgery...

And my mother gets in this evening at 6:45pm. I don't HAVE TIME TO BE SCARED...

I think mine will come tomorrow.

2 weeks ago, I had a D&C done and I was simply terrified then. I have no idea why, but I was. This time, I am not so...but maybe because I have filled up every minute with things to keep my mind off the end result.

In the event I have a stray anxious thought, I just remember ...no more bleeding....no more cramps....no more pain.... and uhhhh

NO MORE TAKING A WEEK OFF FROM SEX EVERY MONTH! (hahaha)

Try to stay busy today...watch an engrossing movie...play a computer game...do something to kill time...

We are in this together yanno...

kitkat,
I had a LSH that turned into mini c section a week ago today. It was my first surgery, I was hysterical at times before my big day. Well now being a week out I feel really good. I went 2 the craft store ealier and have been cleared to drive. After surgery in my room I was a bit groogy and fell asleep alot but I had my cath out within 5 hours of comming out of recovery and I was up cruising the hall at the hospital. I would do it again. I was back home with my family 13hours after my surgery.

I will keep all of you ladies that are scheduled tomorrow in my thoughts and prayers. I am over a week out of this and I was a nervous wreck before my surgery. It will be fine and a week later you will be wondering why you were so nervous.

I know how scared you are. The wait is so hard and our minds have too much time to think of the "unthinkable" - which doesn't even happen. Let me just tell you how mine turned out. I had everything taken out, was walking 7 hours after surgery, went home next morning . . . and kept waiting for all these horrible things I was supposed to be going through. It never happened, I had no pain worth mentioning and was comfortable doing what I always do. I know some of our systers have a rough time of it, but don't let that dominate your thoughts, some of us do just fine and, truthfully, if I hadn't known for a fact I had had a hyst. I would have not believed I did. It will all be over very soon and that will be the end of the fear you're going through right now. You will be fine, I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised and relieved. FEAR That's just a crappy part of life. I'm having my mammogram this month and it scares me so badly that I just freeze and stop living, don't even talk to my husband. I've never had a bad mammogram, but, I've heard the expression: "Feeliings are neither right or wrong, they just ARE." bonniebolander60
