It is nice to know I am not alone.

My Gyn keeps trying to imply my problems are in my head. I had uterine cancer and my uterus and ovaries were removed. Since then I have lost my libido, and ability to respond.

My gyn doesn't want to prescribe hormones. I finally changed oncologist and my new one has suggested I see a gynocological endocrinologist. I am hunting around to find one that specializes in my type of problems and not infertility.

I wish everyone luck and thank you for sharing.

Good luck to you. I hope you can find some relief for this because loss of libido can be very sad for us.

Best wishes to you!

Re: It is nice to know I am not alone.

Thank you. I met with my internist today. I've been seeing him for 15 years. I haven't been getting anywhere with my gyn and decided it was time to do something different. The first thing he did was go over the drugs I take and I take two that could cause these problems. He wants me to try tapering them off to see if it helps. I am going to give it a try.

This such a miserable problem to have. I'll let you know how it goes.

Don't accept that it is just in your head. You know your body better than anyone else. Find a new doctor or specialist to help you and don't ever give up. Good luck!
