post menopause

Did anyone here have a hysterectomy post menopausal? I am wondering if they take everything because I am post menopausal will I have any hormonal effects, like people who haven't been through menopause yet

I didn't have any symptoms of menopause after surgery but I never had hot flashes, mood swings, etc. when I was going through menopause either.

It may depend on how long you've been post-menopausal, because the ovaries continue to product a small amount of estrogen for quite awhile. If you do have any symptoms, I'd expect them to be a much, much shorter, milder version of what you experienced during menopause.

Right after surgery, I thought maybe I was going to start having hot flashes because I'd get quite warm with exertion. I quickly figured out that it was just my body's way of telling me to REST, because as soon as I'd sit down my temperature returned to normal. My little you're-overdoing-it-warning-system went away in a week or so.
