False state of wellness

Hi Sisters,

Has anyone else experienced with falso state of wellness before their surgery? My body this past week has those virus symptoms, but as far as menstrual symptoms they seem to be laying low. I am spotting but I should have had a real period with cramps and all by now. Is this my body playing a game with me? It makes me think that maybe I shouldn't go ahead with the surgery and then I think well if I don't the trouble will start all over again in full. Anyone else but me do through this? Paula

false sense

Hi there Paula

Some times when you have a cold or your nerves are being put to the test your period can get out of whack. Either come early or late. This could be what is happening to you. I heard about this many years ago when I was sick and did not have a period for 2 months. My nerves were on end due to thinking I might be pregnant again. (which was the last thing I wanted)

If your concerned about it call your Dr's office and talk it over with them.

Best wishes on your up coming surgery

Take care
Michele

False state of wellness

Many sisters have reported this...it's almost like your body is trying to fool you into cancelling, right?

The other extreme that we see alot is when the uterus has its last laugh, and the last period is the worst one in history!!

The bottom line is that the decision that you and your doctor have come to is probably based on a long history and much discussion, not on a few days or weeks of being suddenly symptomatic. So the lack of those symptoms for a little while shouldn't change a well considered decision.

As Shell has suggested, you can always talk things over with your doctor...nothing is final until the lights go out in the OR!

Hang in there!!

False state of wellness

Hi. I went through the same thing. I had extremely heavy bleeding up to 45 days at a time and about a month prior to my surgery , it had slowed down to a slight spot. I had been getting Lunelle injections every 3 weeks for the past several months to try and control it. Well , I even went through a time where I told myself that maybe it was finally starting to work , maybe I should wait a little longer. But I also remembered my Gyn telling me that she would do a TVH instead of a TAH as long as there wasn't extreme heavy bleeding. I found the strengh by telling myself that God was helping me to have a TVH ( which is what I wanted) by keeping my bleeding down. I went through with my surgery as planned and I am so glad that I did and not try to postpone it. The decision is yours and if you aren't ready or sure this is right for you then maybe you should talk it over with your doctor again.
Best Wishes to you !!

Hi Paula

This reminds me of our hair. Have you ever noticed how it can look lousy for a week or two and the day you make an appointment with the hairdresser you have a PERFECT Hair Day?!?
Or how about the noise in your car engine that is never there when you go to the mechanic!?!
Or the copier or computer that does weird stuff until the technician is called out. Then it works perfectly!?!
If you ask me God just has a weird sense of humor.
I was going through the same thing, actually feeling pretty good right before surgery. I felt way to good to have Cancer. Surely they were mistaken. The day before surgery I started flooding and clotting and it was just awful. It reminded me again how good it would be to have this behind me.
But this is absolutely your call til the big day arrives. You have a few days to go so you may get a little reminder of why you started down this road.
We're here for you. Keep reading and posting. Feel free to email
