Thanks Mary for your support. I think I'm ready to go now. Because of the colon adenoma I'm having to do the preparation for that all over again and for the second time in a month my insides will be 'squeaky' clean. Should lose a little weight but a heck of a way to do it. And what self respecting woman of my age would go to the hospital with a dirty house. With daughter's help I will leave it sort of clean. Yep...I think I'm ready. I'll see you all in my dreams...LOL

In the case of a hysto I dont think the key is how long it takes the incision to heal but how long it takes for all the inside stitches to disolve and all the rerouting they do to completely heal. your incision might heal in 10 days but there is NO way you would be ready for even getting in and out of the pool let alone water aerobics. Have you talked to your doctor? I would think a minimum of 7-10 weeks.

YIKES not the answer you wanted to hear....but please see what your doctor says.

You are most probably correct Dilu and I will certainly get their permission before I dive in...literally speaking of course...LOL I guess walking is about the best I will be allowed to do and I was just thinking, walking in the pool would be such good exercise. Oh well. It was a nice thought. We have such a fun class of old ummmm...'folks' that I have known for several years I will miss the fellowship with them for one thing. Thanks for replying.
