Medical supplies

My surgery is tomorrow and I'm trying to get things around. I think I have most of what I need. But I was wondering if I need to buy some steri strips? In the booklet I have it says I can shower with the strips on and they're need to be on for 7 days. So should I buy some?

I ended up sending my hubby out day two to get steri strips, tape, and bandages...just in case. :-) Never really used them, but it eased my mind knowing that I had them ready if I needed them.

I didn't need any steri-strips. Mine started coming off within a couple days - I had davinci. Just ask at the hospital before you're discharged if there's anything you might need at home and they'll probably give them to you if you need them. I was given several pairs of the little disposable panties, bunch of pads, a squirt bottle and even some alcohol wipes to clean my incisions with. Just ask and they should hook ya up

Every dr is different...I went back to dr one week post op to remove stitches on incisions on tummy. He put steri strips on then and the lasted one week. Some drs use glue, some dissolving stitches. I would suggest buying soft cold packs the kid ones so you could put on your tummy on sorest parts. They were a God send! Good luck...waiting is really truly the hardest part! You are almost there!!
