advice for those having TAH

I had my TAH on Sept.5. I do suggest to those of you coming up that :
1. You get up and walk around when you are able
2. Get a bellyband or some sort of back support it really helps you to feel supported and stronger.
3. Be careful of the meds you are taking try not to take anything to make you constipated.
4. Get Colace or something in hospital so it won't be too hard to go ..no pun intended!!
5. I really found GASX or Tums especially helpful with the gas and indigestion.
6. RELAX...it is really not that bad ..you are your own worst enemy...everything will be just fine..BE POSITIVE!!!!
