field trip to Target
is this a bad idea? day 7. first day off pain killers and just using ibuprofen. If i sit in one of those little seated cart deals and let the father and husband push me around like I'm a 3 year old at Disneyworld would this be okay on my tummy? I just want some yarn to bring back to my nest so i can crochet some sexy tissue box covers for everyone!

Definatly go. Just don't over do it. I might try to walk a bit at first as it is good to keep moving some. Have fun and happy shoping!

Re: field trip to Target
I was just at Target this morning--day 12 for me, TAH. It was just a quick stop for one item and it wore me out just a little, but wasn't too bad. I don't think I could have done it at all on day 7. Day 10 seemed to be the turnaround day for me when I started to be able to do more.

Re: field trip to Target
I went to Target with my mom a week after my surgery and drove around in the cart. I stood up a few times to look at stuff. We were there an hour and that was plenty of activity for me. You should be fine.

Re: field trip to Target
Since my doctor told me to walk at least 20 minutes twice a day, we made excursions to the store those times.
DH would drive the car, and he would push the basket or carry the bachelor basket. I just walked nice and slow pointed. It seemed that I always knew when the 20 minutes was up. That was when on weaker days, I got the keys and went back to the car.

Re: field trip to Target
You have to love those Target Driving Carts!! I enjoyed driving it, but the annoying beeping when backing up was embarrassing! LOL

Re: field trip to Target
I never even used the cart. They don't have yarn at target so we went to Michaels. Good part about Michaels is that there is mostly old ladies that are also walking at snail's pace
