Birthing blood clots

this is a delicate subject, then again most subs here are.
i have a 26 week pregnancy sized fibroid and was able to keep my uterus through cervical cancer, but now this growth has gotten t he better of me.
sunday, randomly watching the superbowl,( I am also having my moontime now)... i suddenly went into what i only know as labour...ummmm...not pregnant!.the urge to push was unbearable. when i could get into a standing position i made my way into the bathroom where i pushed and strained for a half hour before expelling a golf ball sized blood clot. the pain then began to subside...but i feel something still brewing.
Hyst is scheduled for april 4 ... just wondering if i have any more of theseeeeeeee episodes in store.

Re: Birthing blood clots

I would certainly place a call to your dr.and make them aware of what happened if you havent already.

Re: Birthing blood clots

I really should do that shouldn't I...eerrrggghhhh
I live two hours from my doctor and she is at an unbelievably busy specialty hospital in toronto.....when you call, you certainly get made to feel like they don't know who you are. my doc, herself, on the other hand is an amazing woman.

Re: Birthing blood clots

I have been having problems with my menstral cycle for 2.5 years. I too have had my issues with blood clots. In spite of taking blood thinners I still will expel very large ones during my period. Bigger than a golf ball. I have at times experienced labor like pains, but not always. I have never had a baby but I have had a couple of miscarriages and that is pretty much the same pain I felt. My doctors are well aware of this and say it is relatively normal for someone with my bleeding issues. But you should probably check with yours to see what they say.
