Hot Flash, Hot Flash, and more hot Flashes

Please tell me your secret to getting through the hot flashes. I am 2 weeks post op and I am struggling. The worse happens at night. It seems like I am having a hot flash every 15 minutes *yes I timed them last night* for about 40-45 minutes.

This is the worst feeling every especially when your sleep is constantly being interrupted.

Please share your stories or give me some ideas of what I can do. I am so glad my husband is understanding b/c I am throwing the covers on and off throughout the night plus I have the room icy cold now.

Hi there I looked this up for my mum and one thing I found was a scarf with a cooling pad in it. They are 7.95 in the hyster store and lots of other handy items are also available in there. Good luck, as from what I hear they can be terribly distressing

i am taking black cohosh, you can find it at walmart in vitamin section, you can take up to 3 a day, i still have hot flashes at night, but not nearly as bad. you can also try estroven, same section, a little more expensive though, it has black cohosh and soy protein.
