I am really confused and so mad at myself

Well this morning the butterflys they put on me incision was coming off and so I pulled it off and I noticed there was like a black spot on my incision.....Well this is where it came open and it leaked out puss (however you spell it). Well I called the Dr and told her it was leaking and she put me on an Antibotic called Augmentin and it stopped the leaking...But like I said I noticed this morning it was a dark spot on my incision and my DH looked at it and it is where it came open and it was leaking that puss..So now I am mad at myself for getting out to early and it has been sore and I am bleeding, just enough to not even cover one pad but it bothers me...I was wondeing if I messed something up in there........But I noticed if I completely stay in bed and just get up to go to the bathroom and take a shower that it slows down......So I guess I will call the Dr Monday and see what she says.....But I am so mad at myself, I should of never got out even for a minute...........So now my DH tells me I am not allowed to do anything at all except to go to Church tomorrow and thats it........So now I will stay at home and not get out for anything at all...

Cats I don't think you should beat yourself up over it this is the first time we've all gone through something like this well for most of us it's the first time and everything is new. I think that your husband is right that you should just relax and take it easy you have lots of time to do the things you normally did before. I would say that if you feel better just walking around a little bit and having a shower and back to bed that's exactly what you should be doing. Listen to your body and don't push it too much. It's been 8 weeks for me and I know I felt like I should be doing more most of the time but I'm glad that I have a very supportive DH as well and he wouldn't let me do too much and I really appreciate that now because I'm healing very well. I can't really say to much about your incision because I had a TVH but I think you should just take it easy and rest it's the best medicine.

please rest and take care of yourself this is the crucial time of healing it will take up to a year to totally heal. Trust me the incison will bothersome from time to time. Just this week I felt pain on left side of incison and today is my first anniversary from this surgery. Go figure.
take care and rest rest your body needs to heal up

Cats - I'm sorry to hear this happened, but if you have a split incision, you need to be SEEN by your Doc, not just call her.

And please stay home - do not go anywhere tomorrow, not even to church. You could do even more damage than you have already done.

Please take care, and let us know what happened, after seeing your Doc.

Cats,
I agree. Don't leave your bed tomorrow. Rest, rest, rest! It's the best gift you can give yourself to a quicker recovery. You aren't Wonder Woman! See your Dr. Monday. It's the only way to know for sure if things are okay. Rent a good movie or read a good book. Let us know what you find out.
