When is it okay to start sleeping on your stomach??

I think this is the biggest reason I cannot sleep. I have NOT been sleeping on my stomach -- didn't know if that was okay.
I want to be on my stomach. I don't have to be there all night but that's how I fall asleep.
Anyone know if this is okay?

Good AM, I'm approx 2wks post-op, had my first post-op appoint on Monday and I was told it was ok for me to sleep on my belly (Dr told me as long as I felt no pulling or pinching around the incision area) All my best to you for a smooth recovery.

I am also a stomach sleeper and woke up one morning about a week ago on it. So I would think as long as it doesn't hurt and it makes you more comfortable for sleeping...give it a whirl. Take care

I just slept on my stomach for the first time last night. If the pressure is just a tad too much, put a tiny pillow or towel underneath. Happy sleeping!

Morning! I actually slept that way in the hospital, I asked for an extra pillow and put in under my belly incision and was good to go! Couldnt' lay on my side for a few weeks though. Praying for a quick recovery for all of us!

I'm starting week 3 of my post-op and have been trying to sleep on my side, but eventually the tugging pain gets to me and end up on my back. This causes me to get very little sleep and I have a good sore back in the morning. Today I'm enjoying the sharp stabbing pains in my lower left abdomen. If it gets any worse I'll be calling the doctor.
