Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

I still have my ovaries but I seem to be having emotional swings and more specifically for no apparent reason at all I will feel really sad. My temperature is off as well. I seem to have periods where I get hot all of a sudden and I'm fanning myself to get some relief. Other's look at me and tell me it's not that hot. I wouldn't call it a hot flash though. I'm also having an all over body breakout. I have acne everywhere! What's going on? Should I be worried? How long will it last?

Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

Tracy, I can totally relate to everything you are saying. I had TAH a good bit before you, but at about 2-3 weeks , I started with night sweats. not every night, but intermittently, then the acne flared up. I have no explanation, except for what I have read , The ovaries kind of go into a shock mode. I am certain over afew weeks and months all will reastablish itself. Hang in there a bit. Linda

Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

Tracy,

I feel your pain. I have the same problem. I've broken out more in the last two weeks then at any other time in my life. My chest is all broke out, my face and my back. I even have a pimple in my belly button. Its rediculous. I've been having hot flashes and night sweats since about day 4 and boy do I have mood swings. Gives PMS a run for its money. I sure hope my ovaries kick back in soon. This is rediculous and annoying as all get up.

Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

It can take a little while for your ovaries to kick in. Mine let me know they were still there, and they were NOT HAPPY with their new arrangement at about six weeks. They say patience is a virtue, but I have always questioned this... LOL! Hang in there everyone and please let your doctors know how you are doing.

Good luck!

Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

I have one ovary left, and had many serious hot flashes within the first month. I still have 'baby' hot flashes once in awhile, and had my first pms symptoms a few weeks ago, but thankfully things seem to be quieting down - FINALLY! I do remember having some hot flashes before my TAH - for me it was tied to pms I think. I've had some break outs too, but - knock on wood - things seem to be improving now. Hang in there! It will get better.......!

Moodiness and Hot...kept ovaries!

Oh my do I hear you all on this one - I have one ovary left and the past few weeks I have been getting this warm feeling throughout my body, almost nausea like and feeling just plain yucky. About two weeks ago I was crying at the drop of a dime - commercials would make me cry! Pimples - my face is a mess! I have no idea what is going on - Good new though - I go see my DR today -- so I have a LIST of questions for him --
