Where were your incisions?

Curious about the size and location of the incisions for your laproscopic hyst? Not thrilled with having more incisions/scars on my body (already have a huge scar from ear to ear on my neck from cancer #1) but at least this will be getting rid of the problem!

Thanks!

Re: Where were your incisions?

They had 4 entry points for mine. One, a few inches, above each hip, of course on the abdomen, about 1-1.5 inches in length. One in the center at the very base of my abdomen that one is only about a half of inch. The 4th point was my naval. Healing well, can't even tell that was an entry point. Hope this helps.

Re: Where were your incisions?

I had my TLH yesterday, I had three incisions but I not sure of their size since they are covered but they look fairly small. One in the naval and one on each side of my belly maybe five inches on each side of the naval and down an inch or so.

Re: Where were your incisions?

I had an LSH, and believe it or not, I pretty much told the doctor where I wanted my incisions. I work part-time as a figure model, so having scars just an inch or so below my belly button could have cost me money, so I told her to put the incisions at each hip, at pubic-line level, into the natural folds of skin. She objected at first, saying that would make it harder to get my giant tumor out, but hey! She gave it a try, and it worked. I also had one in my navel, but that one never was visible.
