pain with intercourse, worse with transvaginal ultrasound

I'm about 11 weeks from my TAH and have had sex a couple of times..both times it felt quite sore on one side of my vagina. My DH felt so bad about it the first time I didn't want to tell him after the second. Needless to say our sex life is currently infrequent!
I have been having lots of sharp pains and am really sore along my incision still so my doctor wanted a pelvic ultrasound to check things out. Well the technician also did a transvaginal ultrasound as she was having trouble getting a good picture of my left ovary...well the instrument really hurt on the one side....so much so that she had to stop. Then she tried looking at the ovary on the left and pressed in to try and see it and that hurt so much she had to stop.
I'm worried that my sex life will never be like it was before
Will these pains ever go away?

20 Wks today... They are still here for me......

Oh poor girl! Really...that long? Pain with intercourse? and tummy pains...well thanks for letting me know...It's not that unusual then.
This is frustrating..I'm waiting to feel better than before my surgery...getting to that point will feel like a victory! We'll get there...

Some people routes take longer than others....

Some people take longer to heal but do keep going back to your dr , i had lots of pain like yours and thought something was wrong from surgery and turned out to be a big cyst.

I had a transvaginal surgery- I did have soreness in my vagina the first few times we tried to have sex- but not now. The only thing that bothered me was a spot on the "cuff" which wasn't healed completely, but no pain on the vaginal walls.

Did your DR do a vaginal check before inserting the probe ? I would think with that much discomfort, checking would be best.
