been hurting all week

i have had lower abdominal pain all this last week---since my period ended. i had pain like this either last month or the month before. i have had alot of mid-cycle pain over the years---but not this end-of-the-period pain. what will cause pain at the end of your period? i haven't mentioned this to my doc because it is fairly new for me. i have my pre-op on monday and i am hoping i am still hurting so that maybe it can be pinpointed as to what is hurting.

I feel the same way. Usually I hurt off and on right before my period, but this time I started hurting (really bad) about 4 or 5 weeks before my period and now my period just stopped and I am still hurting pretty bad. Every once in a while I will get some relief, but then it starts back up again. I have litterally been living on pain pills for about 6 or 7 weeks. My pre-op appt is Monday too. When I had my consult, the doctor told me that the pain is due to adeno, but I can't help but to think something else is going on. My hyst is scheduled for Aug 31, so I guess I will find out what it is then, when the dr gets inside me. Just wanted you to know that you are not alone. What is the reason for your hyst? Mine is adeno and ovarian cysts and heavy clots and bleeding. God Bless and hope you get some relief soon. Let me know how your pre-op goes and good luck.

I have pain usually during my period and mid period...but since my Dr did a lap/dnc to find out what my pain was from and the dnc to help with the heavy bleeding. I have pain all the time!!! my hyst is because of heavy bleeding---i got really anemic this last winter. i have been anemic before, but never this low.

I saw that you're having your hyst because of excessive bleeding. Has your DR ever said what might be causing so much bleeding? Personally, I believe excessive bleeding, pain, etc. are symptoms. There has to be something causing these symptoms. Has your DR ever done a lap. to see what's going on? Good luck at your pre-op and I do hope your pain stops soon.
