Please help.

I am sorry sisters haven't been here and a very long time. I just have a question. I had surgery 9/27 of last year and i thought i recovered well i i have to make a yearly checkup really soon. My question is i moved some furniture which was really heavy but didnt think much of it later that evening i started to have extremely bad stomach pains. i thought it was because i was lactose intolerant and just had to go to the pottty but no go. i did throw up but wasnt the food i ate so i know it digested. it seems to have gotten a little better even though the next day i still had pain. now the pain is still here but the belly is really sore and still can't go to the potty without taking ducolax. i really didnt think of the surgery until about an hour ago. Could i possibly done something wrong? i am paranoid at this moment dont wanna have to take time from work nor have another surgery.

Thanks for my dragged on story.

Re: Please help.

Hi preciousink I wanted to share with you something my coworker told me happened to her. She had her tah about 10 or more years ago and last year she was moving a really heavy piece of yard equipment. She went in to take a shower and noticed she was bleeding it freaked her out. She called the doctor the next day and they wanted to see her. Everything ended up being okay it was her scar tissue that was bleeding. I would go to the doctor and make sure everything is okay. I have a question for you have you been taking ducolax for the last year? I ask because I am four and half months post op and still taking miralax and stool softener pills every day if I don't I cant go. Hoping I don't have to stay on them for a year. Hope everything turns out okay for you.

Re: Please help.

thank you so much i will make an appointment tomorrow. I haven't had any bleeding at all just been painful now its been hurting more in my surgery area. It hurts to even sit on the potty long with laughing and coughing. I hope its nothing.

As for the ducolax i only took those or the ferrous sulfate that the doc prescribed for maybe about a week after my 2nd post op appt. I just was constipated thats why the doc gave me ferrous sulfate it helped and i stopped taking them and haven been going good since then from ill say mid to end of october. You can try to see if the colace works its also a stool softner (if that isnt what you were already taken). I hope you dont have to take them for a long time and able to go on your own. Have you told her doc that you havent been going regularly. Maybe if they can check your iron level to see if it is low that was the reason for me.

Re: Please help.

Hello wanted to put my 2 cents in. My brother in law whom is a doctor said if I continue to take miralax your body will get use to it. I am 5 weeks post op and I am trying to take only 1 a day bc I put it in coffee in morning and put 1 in water at dinner. Hope that helps
