5 weeks post abdominal hysterectomy and strange pain with walking

Hi ladies - I am new on this site but it is very informative. I am 5 weeks post-op today and I have a heaviness on my right side just above my groin when I walk. I can walk for very short distances without the pain but:new when it comes, if I put pressure on the area, I can keep walking. Has anyone else had this experience?

You don't say what kind of hysterectomy you had. Did you keep your ovaries or cervix?

Do you feel a lump or swelling in your groin on that side? I'm wondering if there's something going on with the lymph nodes in your groin.

Oops - I had a partial abdominal hysterectomy so I still have both ovaries and my cervix.

The area is not quite in my groin but just above it... around my incision site.
