Spotting at 5 weeks?

Sooo, I'm having some light spotting. I'm wondering if I should be worried. I have nothing up there left to bleed. I've had no surgical bleeding since week 2.

My six week is this coming Thursday.

Is it normal to experience light spotting at week 5?

Re: Spotting at 5 weeks?

I had posted almost the same thing at my 5th week. I had to ask my doc. She said that it can be caused by over doing things which causes friction inside the vigina where small tears can happen. As long as its just spotting that only last for a day or two. That is normal. But check with your doc at your appointment to be sure thats whats happening with you. If you have a vaginal cuff be sure to ask to be checked for any weak spots. I hope I helped and all is well.

Re: Spotting at 5 weeks?

I had no bleeding for 3 weeks. Then all of a sudden I had a lot, and with clots. All the paperwork they send you home with says clots are bad and you must call the dr. asap. I call and they said it's normal. Clots went away and I had spotting for probably 3-4 weeks. Called the doctor again and got the same answer. It finally did stop. I only have a little spotting during my mini periods every month. No biggy at all. But you worry at first. Especially because you have never gone through this. It all gets better!
