Tube Removal without Ovary Removal

I had a LSH, LSO/w tube removal on 5/18/05. My right tube was also removed but the right ovary was not. The reason for my hysterectomy was Adenomyosis, Endo and cyst on left ovary.

My question is, what is the right ovary attached to now that I don't have a right tube and a uterus?

Also, being just over a week post op, I have just started driving again. I am almost positive that is what my doc recommended. Does that sound odd to anyone?

Last question. I have started with a burning sensation in vaginal area. I do have a little bloody dicharge very light and I was told to expect that. Anyone else experience the burning? Should it be cause for alarm? Possible infection?

Thank for your support ladies. Much appreciated.

Tube Removal without Ovary Removal

I had an abdominal incision so didn't drive for a while. But if you are comfortable, why not, as long as you are careful and don't over do it.

Burning could be infection, I'd check with the doc.

Also, I am not a doc (obviously ) but I do know that my left ovary had fused to my abdominal wall (due to a previous ectopic pregnancy) but removed because of severe damage to the ovary. Could you possibly have the same with the right?

And as always, your best bet is you doc. Mine calls me "nag" because I will pester until I get answers. No wishy-washy talk.

i think that as ovaries have their own blood supply via somewhere - they must be attached the same way? I had my tubes removed, but kept my ovaires. I had an abdominal incision and was told to drive as soon as I wanted to - which was 10 days.
