Tender lumps in abdomen - 4 weeks post-op

Hi sisters..

Just wondering about this and felt I should just 'ask'..I hope I am not the only one.

When I touch my tummy (I do so each night to see how things are progressing) I feel lumps..one on my left and one on my right..I do feel the incision and it is one long line of a harder tissue, but these lumps are tender, I don't get what I would call PAIN from them but they are starting to cause me worry. When I press on them it feels tender and swollen. Could it be just healing from the invasion throught the surgery? I had TAH with LSO. I don't have a follow up until April 3 and just wanted to know if this was another 'normal' thing..

Any other 'lumpy' tummies out there?

Hi Lisa,

I am not in pain, just concerned that its something that shouldn't be there? I read all kinds of information on adhesions and I don't have those troubles (so far) just wondering if anyone else had been probing and found any tender lumps..I would expect one where my ovary had been taken..OR one where my other ovary still is (perhaps swollen b/c of other trauma) but the fact there are two..I dunno..

I'm not at the point where I will call the Dr..just curious is all and thought this the best place to ask.
