3 days post hysterectomy

Had my hysterectomy wed had uterus and cervix taken vaginaly and had a mid urethia sling put in at which time my surgeon punctured my bladder. Had to come home with a foley 😞. Been resting a lot walking laps round the loft since my bedroom is upstairs. Feel really good with the exception of my back hurts like the dickens. This was way better than my c-section! Guess I was prepared for the worst and it wasn't so bad. Go back to dr on Monday to have the foley removed and bladder tested. Passing gas like a champ but still waiting on that first BM.. Hoping that everyone else is having it easy take care of yourselves!!!

Happy to hear you're so positive! I am 11 days post, didn't have a BM until about day 4 but started eating activia yogurt right away and added a bran muffin for fun!! The first one was not pleasant but you will survive!!! Just remember, DON'T PUSH!! Lol. Let your bowels do the work. I also had 2 c-sections 21 & 19 years ago. Was worried I wouldn't heal as fast but I'm doing surprisingly well. Still shocks me that I get as tired as I do so quickly. Listen to your body, it'll talk to you. I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything turns out positive for you on Monday. Keep smiling ��
