I've had a recent change in status from being all good to being really uncomfortable from the inside out. My lower abd and pelvic region have become achy with no new change in routine. Wearing anything around the midline produces uncomfortable aches since my surgery. Iaddressed to with my gyn today and she completely blew me off. She even stated, you didnt have abdominal surgery so idk why that area would be an issue.....
Am i totally crazy? I was so taken aback by my conversation with her.

Re: 200 and something days post, discomfort

I had surgery 3 days after you. I will still occasionally feel mild cramping when I do something intense for the first time (I'm sitting here right now with that). A social media friend of mine who'd had her DvH two years ago had mentioned she still preferred elastic waists as opposed to fix waists because she no longer liked things binding her.

I will say that after a remark like that from your gyn, I'd be finding another gyn for female issues. You didn't have an abdominal incision, but you had abdominal organs removed and plenty of internal abdominal incisions. Does she believe her apparently perfect surgery addressed all gyn issues past, present and future so that you will have no issues down the road? That annoys me for you!

I wouldn't hazard a guess if what you're feeling might be surgery-related or if it's something new. You still have ovaries, a pelvic floor, vagina with a cuff, bladder, intestines, gall bladder - any of those could be giving you issues. Even an intolerance to certain foods could be the culprit.

I wish I could offer more insight, but I might also talk to your GP as well.

Thanks for your reply. Her comment really did not sit well with me. Elastic bands are an issue any pressure on ky midline is awful. I have to wear jeans a size too big, to keep it off my belly. However, even that becomes uncomfortable by the end of thr day. I made another appointment with her, so we shall see how that goes.

Hi! I am no where near your amount of recovery, 5 weeks today in fact, but I remember my FP telling me after my gallbladder surgery 2 years ago that it really takes about a year for your body to completely heal inside. And this surgery we've had incorporates much more than just removing an organ or two! It comes with so much fun as I am finding out....

I hope you get some relief soon!
